National Instruments

National Instruments controller area network (CAN) interfaces are ideal for developing a wide variety of applications ranging from hardware-in-the-loop simulation systems to low-cost diagnostic, measurement, and calibration tools. Included feature-rich APIs simplify the development of cost-effective CAN tools with NI LabVIEW and other languages. Optional NI CAN toolkits add support for industry-specific protocol layers. You can choose from three types of NI CAN interfaces: high-performance NI-XNET CAN for PCI, PXI, NI CompactDAQ, and CompactRIO; low-cost USB interfaces; and LabVIEW-FPGA enabled C Series CAN for the NI CompactRIO platform.

Peak-System

PEAK-System offers various solutions for accessing CAN and LIN busses. The product range covers plug-in cards for regular PCs as well as for industrial computers and embedded systems. Mobile versions are available for the USB port and ExpressCard slot. Windows and Linux device drivers are available for the interfaces.

 

The CAN interfaces are delivered with the CAN monitor PCAN-View. This Windows software allows transmitting, receiving, and logging CAN messages.

 

With the free API PCAN-Basic, custom applications with CAN connection can be implemented in different programming languages.

Softing

The diagnostic interfaces EDIC family and the communication interfaces CAN family from Softing are a range of powerful VCIs for using with CanEasy. Bus analysis and residual bus simulation can be executed with CanEasy, and a large number of diagnostic applications with tools from Softing with one and the same interface. This means that VCIs from Softing can cover all communication tasks over the entire process chain from Engineering through Manufacturing to After-Sales Service.
